Job Title: Electrical EstimatorLocation: Kansas City, MO 64102Duration: Direct HireOverview:Client is looking for an experienced, team-oriented Estimator. The successful candidate must be a self-motivated problem solver with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Our ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and possess a passion for excellence. Day to Day:· Assemble material and labor costs for clients and proposals for construction projects· Conduct subcontractor solicitation and pre-qualification tasks· Analyze and insert specialty and standard equipment and material pricing into the estimate· Confirm our estimate meets the schedule protocol and specifications of scope· Evaluate and condition subcontractor and supplier quotes· Research cost history and update data base(s)· Provide preliminary pricing for indirect and general conditions· Responsible for reviewing specialty and standard equipment pricing· Review plans and specifications for completion of estimates· Review commercial terms and conditions for cost and risk items and present concerns to lead estimator· Responsible for the accuracy and validity of estimate clarifications and assumptions· Analyze and price value engineering for submission· All other duties as assignedMust Haves:· Six (6) years of experience as an estimator in electrical construction or equivalent experience· Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or an equivalent degree; Applicable experience will be considered in lieu of a degree· Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills· Ability to closely collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders· Excellent research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills· Extensive knowledge of best industry practices and standards· Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Proficient in Microsoft Office SuitePreferredQualifications:Trimble Accubid v16Applicant Notices & DisclaimersFor information on benefits, equal opportunity employment, and location-specific applicant notices, click here
